25th listing anniversary on the NYSE
Silver Anniversary in the Big Apple
The major performers of Brazilian music are not the only ones to shine in Times Square, New York. Itaú Unibanco rang the closing bell on May 10th to celebrate its 25 years as a listed company on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), and all of those who walk down one of the world’s most famous streets will be able to see the out-of-home piece that the bank has prepared to celebrate the date: it is Itaú’s footprint in the Big Apple.
International preference
Among the Brazilian companies listed on the NYSE, Itaú Unibanco was the most traded one in 2021. As a result, half of the average daily volume of the bank’s shares traded last year were on the NYSE. Currently, around 25% of the total volume of Itau’s preferred shares are in the form of ADRs, the securities traded in the U.S. market.
