Itaú Unibanco’s ‘Cofrinhos’ reach 100% of Superapp customers
Initiative reinforces the bank’s commitment to making Superapp a financial advisor, through a solution that helps customers to get organized and form the habit of saving money in a simple and safe way
São Paulo, January 24, 2025 – Since January, all Itaú Unibanco individual customers have had access to the Cofrinhos (‘piggy banks’, in English) solution within the Superapp. The innovation reflects the bank’s commitment to offering tools and services that simplify financial organization and enhance users’ digital experience, consolidating its role as a financial management consultant for clients.
With the Cofrinhos, clients can save money for any purpose, being able to allocate resources of any amount (starting at R$1) and create personalized objectives focused on their needs in a practical and safe way – whether to build up a reserve or to plan a trip, purchase a vehicle or invest in education. Balances earn 100% of the CDI every working day.
The functionality was made available on Superapp in waves throughout the second half of 2024, under the name “Dinheiro Guardado” (‘money saved’) and is now available to all the bank’s individual customers, including those in the Uniclass and Personnalité segments, under the name “Cofrinhos”. In just a few months, it is possible to identify a significant number of customers who, after starting to use the solution, have also taken their first steps into the world of investments. This movement reinforces how the tool has the potential to help clients plan, save and prosper.

The role also reflects the bank’s ongoing commitment to transforming customers’ digital experience. The launch of the Cofrinhos is part of a series of innovations in the Superapp, which recently received new areas dedicated to managing specific solutions, such as Cards, Payments, Security and Vehicles, making financial operations even simpler and more accessible.
