Historical series Itaú BBA launches Agribusiness Governance Academy
Content about Governance in Agribusiness will be free and dedicated to clients and non-clients of the bank, reinforcing the institution’s commitment to develop the Brazilian agribusiness
August 22, 2022 – What are the basics of managing an agricultural business? How to plan and control the business financially? How to dose leverage? To answer these and other questions, Itaú BBA’s Agribusiness Department has launched the Agribusiness Governance Academy, a free distance learning platform aimed at the bank’s clients and non-clients. The proposal is for the content to be a practical guide to rural business management, contextualizing the sector and its peculiarities and providing inputs for the actual application of knowledge.
“Agribusiness has a strong growth agenda in Brazil and at Itaú BBA. By assuming the commitment to be the sector’s long-term partner, we seek a way to provide the necessary tools to foster the professionalization of agribusiness. This is how the Governance Academy Agribusiness project came about”, explains Pedro Fernandes, Agribusiness Director at Itaú BBA.
Itaú BBA has specialized agribusiness services and its client base ranges from rural producers with revenues starting at R$ 6 million to large agribusinesses.
The initiative is another step in the bank’s strategy to consolidate itself as a reference in the production of content related to the economy and agricultural finance in Brazil. “We started in 2019, with the structuring of the Agro Consulting area, responsible for the production of knowledge and scenario analyses. Now, with the Agro Governance Academy, we want to help the chain in the development and implementation of good governance in their companies,” says Guilherme Bellotti, manager of Itaú BBA’s Agro Consultancy.
The learning proposal was formatted in different modules. The Governance Track, the first contribution of the content track, relies on the partnership with AgroSchool – a business and finance school for the Agribusiness market.
