Itaú launches new corporate account opening experience in Superapp for individuals; the whole journey takes just 4 minutes

 

The entire account opening process takes just four minutes; data intelligence reuses the information registered on the individual account, offering simplicity and agility to the client. 

 

São Paulo, December 2024 – Itaú Unibanco announces an improved experience in its Superapp for those who are already account holders at the bank and wish to open a business account, part of its ongoing innovation agenda focused on the needs of its clients. As part of the new experience, it is possible to open a new corporate account directly in the Superapp in a much simpler way, with the entire process being completed in just four minutes. In addition to the ease – which helps entrepreneurs save time from their first moment with the bank – the new journey also values and recognizes the client’s relationship as a whole, delivering benefits in all aspects.  

The account opening process takes place in Itaú’s logged-in environment, which enables clients’ registration data to be recognized and authenticated by the bank’s Superapp for individuals, without the need to enter any additional information. In addition, the account can be accessed as soon as the journey is completed, both via the app and via Itaú Empresas on the web.  

“Through data intelligence, we were able to streamline the entire journey of opening a business account and deliver more value to our clients, eliminating registration steps so that they have access to Itaú’s financial solutions in a more complete way – with the same language, usability and level of experience that they already know and are used to as individuals. We recognize their relationship with us as a whole, valuing and delivering benefits for this relationship as individuals. We know that time is a very important and scarce asset for entrepreneurs, which is why we are always focused on offering solutions that make their day-to-day lives easier, from the very beginning of their journey with us,” explains Renato Mansur, Director of Shared Experience for SMEs at Itaú Unibanco.  

Since it launched in June 2024, this integration has already increased the conversion of individual clients to business clients by 30%. “I often say that not every individual customer has a business, but every corporate client has a CPF (similar to a social security number). We work to retain our clients, with attractive solutions that engage those who already have a relationship with us. With evolution, we generate value with simplicity, aiming to make tasks easier. That’s why we want to guarantee a total synergy of experience between the personal and corporate applications,” says the executive. 

Another evolution of this integrated vision is the offer of benefits for clients who have a relationship with the bank, both as individuals and as companies. Itaú Personnalité clients who are in levels 4 and 5 of the Minhas Vantagens (My Advantages) relationship program are exempt from the monthly fee for the corporate account’s service package; ¹ in addition, having a corporate account also skips steps required for progressing in the individual program (valid for Itaú Personnalité and Itaú Uniclass). Minhas Vantagens is a free program that offers a set of benefits and special conditions according to the customer’s relationship with Itaú Unibanco, available to account holders who choose to participate.  

The new account opening journey is valid for companies with a single partner. To apply, clients need to log in to the Itaú app, click on the “Products” icon in the lower main bar, then in the “Other Practicalities” section, choose “Open a corporate account”.
