Historical series Itaú Shop now accepts ‘Pix’ as a payment method
The transaction is made directly on the platform and is fully integrated with the Itaú Unibanco app. The method will also offer cashback benefits.
Itaú Unibanco clients now have the option of paying with Pix for their purchases in the Itaú Shop marketplace. Just like a credit card, using Pix will also benefit from earning cashback rewards, which can later be used as payment. With this move, all Itaú clients who access the app can buy on the platform.
The entire experience is centred on the bank’s app and takes place entirely within Itaú’s security structure. This approach offers practicality and agility when making a purchase, which is approved on the spot when made with Pix without needing a new login or registration.
Itaú Shop was announced in October 2022 as part of Itaú’s beyond banking agenda. ‘We want to be more and more present in our clients’ lives, offering solutions that go beyond traditional banking services, with journeys that are absolutely secure, complete and integrated with technology,’ says Michele Vita, Director of Itaú Unibanco.
At Itaú Shop, clients can find smartphones, electronics, games, drinks and experiences with exclusive conditions.
How it works
To buy using Pix at Itaú Shop, the client must choose this method when paying for the purchase and confirming the order. The Pix payment code will then be generated, and the user will be directed to the Pix tab of the app, where the code will already be available. Finally, simply authenticate the transfer, and the purchase will be approved automatically.
