Itaú Unibanco launches new app concept for 100% of accountholders

Now it’s easier to use the app and make faster transactions, with a new standard of customer relationship experience

São Paulo, December 2023 – Itaú Unibanco has redesigned the experience of using its app. Now, all the bank’s accountholders can access a more agile and intuitive version of the app, with significant developments in terms of technology, interface and usability based on the use of data. To achieve this, the bank developed the Itaú Design Language (IDL) concept, a new standard that represents the future of Itaú’s relationship with customers.

The new language is based on clear principles, with the aim of creating an agile, relevant, simple experience for customers, based on a value proposition that also offers a contextualized conversational layer to make the experience closer. In addition, customers will have more control over their financial management and greater scope for customization, being able to add or remove components and shortcuts to make their journey more functional, according to their needs.

“The new experience is a reaffirmation of our total focus on the customer. For recurring transactions, the journey needs to be very agile and save time and effort. Another aspect where we invested a lot was in hyper-contextualization and individualized communication, based on the behavior and needs of each customer, at each moment in time. By bringing this evolution to the app, we are leveraging our level of quality of experience to a significantly higher level, based on principles of high sophistication and standardization in our language, identity, and the technologies that support them. The new app will be a constantly evolving platform and our customers can expect a series of new features in the coming months,” says João Araújo, Director of Business, Platforms and Digital Experiences at Itaú Unibanco.
