iPhone coverage will be offered to consumers in Brazil through the iPhone pra Sempre program
August, 2022 – A much-desired service for those who own an iPhone is now available in Brazil: Itaú Unibanco launches this Thursday (25th) the AppleCare service for customers of the iPhone forever program. The iProtection Insurance with AppleCare Services offers coverage for accidental breakage, theft and qualified theft, including same-day¹ service in most metropolitan areas around the world and the use of genuine Apple parts.
iPhone Forever makes it possible to exchange your iPhone for a newer model at regular intervals and at one of the lowest rates on the market. Launched in August 2020, the pioneering program has already reached the mark of more than 165,000 customers – in addition to being Brazil’s top seller in the launch of the iPhone 13.
“The arrival of iProtection Insurance with AppleCare Services complements iPhone forever, making the program more complete with what really makes a difference in our customers’ lives, making it an important milestone. What makes this experience special for our customers is that they will receive the service and support of the Apple ecosystem, which we know is important to them,” explains Carlos Formigari, director of Itaú Unibanco. “This is an initiative that is also aligned with Itaú’s commitment to offer more than financial services, delivering solutions and experiences that actually improve the customer’s lives,” he points out.

With the iPhone pra Sempre program, Itaú clients can now take advantage of the insurance benefits, a partnership with Assurant, which include
– Warranty of up to two years on iPhones;
– Priority access to Apple support by chat or phone;
– Certified repairs at Apple Stores and Apple authorized service providers;
– Coverage for accidental breakage, liquid spills, and functional defects (if your device has mechanical or electrical failure and stops working);
– Optional coverage for theft or qualified theft by breaking and entering.
The “iProtection Insurance with Apple Care Services” can be taken out by iPhone pra Sempre customers at the time of the device’s purchase or within 30 days, directly in the Itaú, Itaú Personnalité, and Itaú Cartões apps. The cost varies from R$56.30 to R$177.30 per month, depending
the iPhone model and the package chosen. For some types of coverage, the insurance has a deductible – in case of theft or qualified theft, it corresponds to 25% of the device’s price; in case of accidental damage, the deductible costs R$ 179 for screen breakage and R$ 599 for other repairs. Customers who purchase the insurance within 30 days after the launch of AppleCare Services on iPhone forever will get a 20% discount.
